Dermitage offers three products marketed for anti-aging and anti-wrinkle purposes. They have an instant lift face cream, a skin rejuvenation cream and a product that targets the wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes. While they talk of the science behind their products, the list of ingredients in each product does not seem to benefit from any of the newest scientific developments in anti-aging skin care. Worse, the customer service offered by Dermitage has been widely negatively reviewed.
While Dermitage offers three different products; the ingredients do not vary much from product to product. A company that prides itself on the “science” of its products should be aware of the fact that using quality and proven ingredients will reduce the signs of aging and wrinkles in all areas of the skin of the face, removing the necessity for three different and expensive products. All three products rely on two basic ingredients. One is antioxidants, found naturally in grape seed and other plants. The other active portion of these products is something called “Lifting Spheres,” which are not clearly explained. One of the products, the lifting cream, does contain hyaluronic acid, making it a slightly better bet than the other two products.
The eye serum and skin renewal complex offered by Dermitage do not have much going for them. The instant lifting cream, however, does contain some mild antioxidants along with hyaluronic acid, so it is possible that this Dermitage product may cause some smoothing and fullness to return to the face. The small list of active ingredients in all the products, however, is suspect. A quality anti-wrinkle cream contains ingredients designed to treat multiple aspects of the signs of aging. Hyaluronic acid and mild antioxidants alone are not enough to provide significant results.
Buying Dermitage is where the real problems start. When you choose a Dermitage product, you are given a generous 14 day free trial, and your credit card will not be charged if you indicate you do not like the products in that time frame. However, the 14 days start from the day of ordering. This is not unusual, but by the time the products arrive, you are left with just a couple of days to test them. Many have reported that when they have called Dermitage to end the free trial, the company simply does not pick up the phone. They then charge the credit card for anywhere from $80-$120, depending on the products, and begin an automatic shipment program that is impossible to escape from.
Does Dermitage work?
Based on the ingredients alone, it is clear that Dermitage is not a strong enough anti-wrinkle cream to deliver the results that they have promised. Anyone who has been researching quality anti-wrinkle creams will see that key ingredients are missing. For those who do go forward and test out Dermitage, not only have reviews of the effects of the products been poor, it is the extremely difficult to stop being charged monthly for ineffective products. If you are in the market for a quality anti-wrinkle cream, cross Dermitage off your list.
