Prevage Review

Prevage is designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as condition and protect the skin against environmental stresses and damage. While Prevage contains a couple of impressive and proven to be effective ingredients, there is a serious drawback in that Prevage is only available from a physician. This provides a major inconvenience or even complete barrier to purchase for many average users.

Prevage Ingredients

Prevage contains idebenone, an ingredient that acts as an antioxidant. Idebenone protects the cells of the skin from damage caused by harmful free radicals, which break down the cells and damage the fibers of elastin and collagen. However, this ingredient is found far down the list of active ingredients—it is unknown how much idebenone is in Prevage. Prevage contains no ingredients intended to stimulate collagen production, like Matrixyl, or Argireline, which helps prevent the repetitive movements that lead to the development of deep lines and wrinkles.

Prevage Benefits

With the inclusion of idebenone, Prevage may be able to protect the cells of the skin from damage by free radicals, but without ingredients to aid in collagen development and muscle relaxing, Prevage cannot follow through on all of its promises. Prevage claims things like the elimination of existing fine lines and wrinkles as well as long term prevention of the signs of premature aging, but without the necessary ingredients to do this.

Buy Prevage

Prevage is only available from a doctor. While many competing and better reviewed products are freely available for purchase in stores and over the internet, those wishing to try Prevage will need to make an appointment with a doctor who offers the treatment. Aside from the inconvenience and loss of time necessary for a doctor's appointment, consumers will have to expect to pay office visit fees along with any costs associated with the Prevage treatment itself. Additionally, if unsatisfied with the product for any reason, those who have purchased Prevage will need to contact the distributor in order to find out the return policies, and possibly be out of luck when it comes to getting a refund.

Does Prevage work?

With the inclusion of idebenone, Prevage does have an edge over several similar products. However, idebenone alone will only protect the existing cells and collagen. Other anti-wrinkle creams contain ingredients designed to stimulate collagen production and also ingredients designed to help relax the muscles of the face to prevent the formation of deeper lines and wrinkles. Preventing damage to the existing cells will allow Prevage to slow down the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but without an increase in collagen production or similar effects, Prevage does not compare to other anti-wrinkle creams in terms of erasing already existing fine lines and wrinkles. While prevention is important, the truth is that few people begin to search for an anti-aging treatment until the signs of aging have already begun to appear. For those who are already experiencing the effects of getting older, an anti-wrinkle cream with ingredients designed to help erase the existing signs of aging is a better bet.
